My passion for art and creation started at a very young age. I would spend countless hours drawing and building various things with Legos. My father would buy me models, and my Mother; who was an artist herself, would lend me her colored pencils and paint.

As I got older, I began working in the shop with my Father who by trade is a metalworker and AutoCAD wizard with an engineering brain. He was always making or building something. He taught me how to use all the various tools he owns, and by the age of 10 I was proficient at welding, cutting, grinding, and drilling.

In high school I joined a shop class, where my passion for woodworking really took off. I spent 4 years filling my parents house with projects I built, each one better than the last.

After high School, I joined the Marine Corps, and as you can imagine, I didn't have much time to work with wood, however I spend most of my free time drawing, designing ideas, and when possible practicing various joints and butterfly techniques.

After getting out in January of 2013 and moving back home to Colorado, I began acquiring tools. I worked as a maintenance Tech in the meantime and on my weekends I build things and sell them on the side. in October of 2018 I made the decision to start the Copper Bull.

Here I am today; I never thought in a million years I would have turned my passion into my job. Its a lot of work, but its gratifying in the most fundamental way. My name is Cotton Beggs, I am a craftsman, I am an artist, i am a designer, and I am the owner of the The Copper Bull, where I truly believe the only limitation, is your imagination.
